Following his birth Salum was brought to live in a place called Michenzian where he lived until the age of four before the family moved lived in Kilmani for two years. In 1997 Salum and his mother moved to a place called Chukwaini located near the international airport. In 1997 also Salum became a brother to Halifa and they spent many years enjoying the lifestyle of growing up in the beautiful island of Zanzibar. Much time was spent swimming; dancing; being with family and sharing good times together. In 2005 the family migrated to the UK. Salum became a brother again to in 2006 to Khanan.
